i have such wonderful siblings. my brother is one of the most brilliant and loving persons i know. my sister is beautiful, loving and will always make you feel important. i had a lovely conversation with my sister this evening.
there is something about the love between sibling that is so much different from the love between friends. i was talking to my sister this evening- catching up, talks of weather and summer plans, but more importantly our struggles, frustrations and worries. all the time we talked, even though we hadn't talked in who knows how long, there was a depth and a love there that time and distance just can't touch- i love that. as i told her the things that were on my mind i didn't have, not for a split second, any hesitations in the fear of judgment or rejection. she listened intently with patience and loving ears. even though our childhoods were a bit separated (she falls under sister definition two, and she is nine years older than me), we have a certain connection where we can relate. i love feeling of comfort, acceptance and importance that my siblings bring to me when i talk to them.
my sister has always been a bible nut- she has always been someone i have looked up to when it comes to having a relationship with G-d over knowledge. she has such a beautiful heart that runs very closely to the heart of G-d and it shows. as my sister read to me some verses out of the Gospels that have been on her heart...well, it was just one of those moments where you both are are totally vulnerable and...well, it was just a beautiful moment that i can't really explain, so i won't try.
i love my siblings with all my heart and am so blessed to have such good relations with them. i know i haven't said anything profound or very thought provoking, but i just felt like writing about my wonderful brother and sister.
